Season One - Fire

Concept drawing based on the four seasons as the four elements of ancient mythology.

Fall is a time when everything is dry and prone to catching flame.  Evening gown is designed to reflect this. Texture is the watchword in a heavy brocaded satin, with applique of flames as accents 

Gown is open along the right side, with strong hook and eye closures.  Fitted form will allow for a modest covering while leaving some of the hook and eyes open will allow wearer to show as much or as little skin as she desires.  Closures end just above the knee for a bit of flair and for freedom of movement when walking.

Arm bands are also made of heavy brocaded satin to match the gown.

Materials: 

-  Heavy brocaded satin in red on red pattern

-  Appliqued flames of satin on the gown to maintain visual texture

 

Details: 

-  Fitted to wearer so that figure shows

-  Can be as racy or modest as wearer allows. 

-  Weight of fabric helps hold garment in place

-  Applique flames add visual interest texturally as well as on two dimensions
