Toga - Purple with Gold Ionic Chiton

The toga is one of the simplest garments ever invented, but the design has stood the test of time. The drapery is sheer elegance, and nothing feels better on a hot summer day.

The garment here is based off of the Ionic Chiton. It consists of two pieces of fabric, joined at the shoulders and left open on the sides. It allows the wearer to belt it in three ways: With both sides open so that there is a slit up each side, with the two parts overlapping so that there is no slit, or only the front part (bringing both parts of the front around to the back) so that there is a dress with a cape showing. All three ways are cool and comfortable, look fantastic, and cover as much as the wearer wants.

The garment is finished with an interesting trim to add to the historical feel (not to mention the beauty).

Naturally, the toga can be made in any color combination that the wearer should desire. Choose the color of the garment, and the color of the trim. No two will ever be alike and you will have the finest toga in the entire party.
